I Am His.

Fear of rejection…

This one is for my “Closet Christian” friends, and it's for ME.

Because I have been working through this...

Scarcity narratives about alienating people.

But do you know what we do when we hide parts of us to avoid alienating others?

We alienate ourselves FROM ourselves.

Lets go after that elephant in the room for a hot second!

So much of the church and Christianity has

COMPLETELY. MISSED. THE. POINT.

They’ve become so wrapped up in rules that they’ve lost the love.

These days I prefer “Jesus follower” because of the lack of connotations that exist with that. It’s freeing.

So here’s where I stand.

I BELIEVE IN BEING LOVE.

LOVE BEING FIERCE AND NURTURING.

LOVE ENCOMPASSING JUSTICE AND ACCEPTANCE.

LOVE DEMANDING THAT WE SHOW UP AND OPT-IN TO DIFFICULT ISSUES.

LOVE DEMANDING THAT WE DON’T WORRY ABOUT FITTING IN OR DOING ALL THE THINGS THE WAY THE WORLD SAYS WE SHOULD.

LOVE DEMANDING THAT WE LOVE OURSELVES AND REMEMBER WHO WE ARE.

LOVE DEMANDING THAT WE DON’T PUSH OUR FAITH ONTO OTHER PEOPLE.

This path I’m on, it’s a God-calling.

The resilience you see, it’s not mine.

The love, joy, strength, light, and grace – it’s purposed in me.

And it’s teaching me that I have nothing to prove.

My journey is one of authenticity, and this is both fundamental and foundational for me. It is me. And I am his.

What are you hiding that’s alienating you from you?
